What is the Star Recovery Programme?

The Star Recovery Programme is our new 11-week programme for LGBTIQ+ survivors of domestic abuse, which runs on Thursday mornings at the Outside Project LGBTIQ+ Centre. The programme covers a range of essential skills and knowledge building to help survivors gain a greater perspective, control and independence. Survivors joining the group are encouraged to join for the full 11-week programme leading those taking part through various aspects of trauma processing and rebuilding self-worth.

Art-based recovery group

What is StArt?

StArt is our new weekly art group for LGBTIQ+ survivors of domestic abuse. In these sessions, the group will be exploring themes of recovery, identity and self-expression, while offering creative ways to process experiences.

What will we be working towards?

At StArt, we will be working together on long-term projects, like co-creating zines, making quilts and working toward exhibitions. We will be joined by different creatives who will share their skills and practice with us. We hope that creating together will build confidence, creativity and new connections within the LGBTIQ+ community.

Who can come?
This group is open to all LGBTIQ+ survivors of domestic abuse who want to explore their creativity. You do not have to have any creative experience to come to this group, all abilities are welcome.
