Star Refuge
Star Refuge is our new accommodation-based service for LGBTIQ+ survivors of domestic abuse. This is the first by-and-for* project of its kind in the UK.

Star Refuge provides a safe place to stay and specialist support for LGBTIQ+ people experiencing domestic abuse. Each resident is given time for rest and recovery, a co-developed support plan, access to community support groups and therapeutic activities.

Those living in Star Refuge will receive​:

The opportunity to make new social connections within the LGBTIQ+ community, take part in group activities and build an accepting support system.

To access this service, please seek a referral through our weekly community support group, Star Lounge.
If you are already working with one of our partner organisations, you can be referred to us through them.

1. Star Support is a by-and-for service. This means that our services are founded by LGBTIQ+ people with lived experience of domestic violence and homelessness. They are delivered by LGBTIQ+ people, for LGBTIQ+ people.
