Femme Thursdays

Femme Thursdays is our new monthly group for trans-feminine and non-binary people who feel they would benefit from a femme-focused space.

Femme Thursdays will centre trans-sisterhood, offering a space to develop new skills and meet new people. We will be offering support and discussion around negotiating sex, healthy relationships (intimate, family and friendships), boundaries, mutual aid, sharing trans-fem experiences and supporting each other through sisterhood.

This space has been created to provide a unique service which will allow us to support each other and build resilience against the political backdrop of anti-trans hate our community is facing. A space to celebrate all things trans and fem, meet new sisters and create solidarity with each other.

Who can come to the group?

Anyone who identifies as trans-feminine or is non-binary and feels they would benefit from spending time in a trans-feminine focused space.

Although we are an LGBTIQ+ domestic abuse service, you do not have to have experienced domestic abuse to come to Femme Thursdays.

Who will run the group?

The group will be facilitated by Hope, a trans woman and qualified life coach with a long history of activism and advocacy within the trans community.

When will the group take place?

The group will take place on the last Thursday of every month. The first Femme Thursday will take place on Thursday the 25th of April, 17:30 - 19:30

Where will the group take place?

The group will take place at The Outside Project LGBTIQ+ Centre, Unit 1, 52 Lant Street, SE1 1RB.

Please note that if you plan to attend our weekly domestic abuse support group (Star Lounge), you will have to leave the community centre between 16:00 and 17:30 as it will not remain open between groups.
